While click bait and fake news outlets clamor to shape public opinion on the proposed removal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act there seems to be a lack of understanding the obvious:
Insurance is not healthcare.
Under the Affordable Care Act it has been seen that people with lower incomes are already unable to afford the ever higher deductibles, so by not paying for insurance they would have more funds available for healthcare. Perhaps not exactly what people thought they were getting with more government intervention into the healthcare market.
Perhaps time for a return to mutual aid societies?
