During the G20 meeting somewhat amusingly China took a stance against protectionism. All for naught however as it seems that the new compromise gives President Trump two wins. First is the less hard line stance on protectionism, no doubt brought about by President Trump’s open advocating of tariffs. The globalists will try to push forward at the next meeting but having shown weakness now they risk even more resistance from the Trump administration.
The second win is the dropping of the climate change readiness language. Coupled with strong rollbacks in the United States for the funding of climate change programs this could be the beginning of President Trump’s strong anti climate change move. Without the government slush fund perhaps we can get more free market solutions and less Solyndra scandals.
